It's a Play Date!

Way back when, before Regina and I even had our babies, we decided that once a week we were going to watch each other's kiddos, so that the other person could get some stuff done.  Both babies are finally old enough that we began this routine last week.  And it's wonderful!  We are starting off with 4 hours, and it's amazing how much you can get done in four hours without a baby in tow.  When it was my time off I went to the dry cleaner, the card store, the grocery store, the post office, the bank, the gas station, out for a quick bite alone....and I still had time to spare!

When Carley came over here last week, I felt like I spent the whole time videoing and picture taking.  But these 2 are so cute together, it's hard to resist!

"Come on Carley.  Let's hold hands."

"Yay!  Besties!"

"Ummmm, it's photoshoot time Carley.  What are you doing?"

"OK Mom, I don't know what's going on here, but I'm just gonna move over this way and you can keep this photo shoot going."

"Seriously Mom, HELP!"

"La la  la...just hangin' under my mat.  Come join me buddy."

"It's OK Carley."

"Let's just hold hands."

"Woo Hoo!"

"Wow, your hand is just as beautiful as mine."

"Mom, I'm trying here, but I think it's time to wrap it up."

"Forget the photo shoot.  I'm watching TV."

How hilarious are those pictures????  No posing the babies or anything.  That's just how it went down.  To Carley's defense, she really wasn't crying as much as it looked like in the pictures.  She just wasn't feelin' the photo shoot that day.  Plus she's also still in the stage where she's rather be held than play under any dumb mat with a camera shoved in her face.  But seriously, it was a really fun afternoon.  Play date number one at the Hetrick house....a success!  Gearing up for play date number two today!

And I have to mention that at the end of the afternoon, I got both babies to nap...at the same time!  Just had to toot my own horn for a minute ;)
