24 Week Pics

Getting a little bit behind on my blogging again, but I guess that's what happens when you're away from home for 14 out of the 30 days of the month.  That's right.  Addy and I just went to PA.... again.  This time we flew and visited with my family for 2 days.  More on that trip later.  For now, here are the pics from week 24.  Enjoy! :)

I really wanted a smile, so I tried giving her toys to see if it would help her stay in one spot long enough for me to get a good pic...

It didn't work ;)

Yup, that is blue marker on her lips.  She started trying to eat the paper, and this was the result before I had the chance to yank it away.

"Don't I look so innocent though?"

Next up..... you guessed it.  Week 25.  Isn't this thrilling?  Ha ha!

23 Weeks and More PA Pics

Since Addy's 23rd week was the Fourth of July week, I decided to take her weekly photos in her Fancy Fourth get up.  I had to get some good use out of that outfit, right?

Addy had a chance to hang out with her cousin Luca during our time home, so we had to get some pics of that :-)

Look at those smiles!

Very focused on the puzzle

4th of July babies holding hands :-)

Addy feeding Luca his bottle...that was the funniest thing to watch!

Wedding number one of two during that trip

The Penn State boys together again = trouble every time ;)

We had such a blast at the wedding at Penn State.  It brought back very fond memories of our wedding because the reception was held at the same place, and all of our same PSU friends were there.  And.... it was our very first night away from Addy!  I would say our first full night of sleep, but that didn't end up being the case.  We were up until almost 4AM, but no regrets.  Good times with good friends!

The following weekend we attended a wedding in Pittsburgh, which was also a lot of fun, but unfortunately I have no pics from that one.

While we were in Hollidaysburg, we hung out at Uncle Lee and Aunt Sue's pool a few times and tried to turn Addy into a water baby.

Definitely skeptical of the pool at first

"This is NOT as warm as my bath tub!"

"Whew, Daddy has me now.  I'm all better."

Tired babies.  Time for a poolside nap.

A few more random pics from the week:

Note Addy's onesie ;)

What can I say?  These two love each other!  Check out Addy's smile!

Family photo :-)

So there you have it.  Our whirlwind of a PA trip.  We traveled (get ready for this) from NC to Hollidaysburg, Hollidaysburg to State College, back to Hollidaysburg, then to Snyder County, from Snyder County to Allentown, Allentown back to Hollidaysburg, Hollidaysburg to Pittsburgh, back to Hollidaysburg, and then home to NC.  All in ten days.  It was insane, but so much fun!

Fourth of July Photshoot cont.

We had a three day extravaganza with Aunt Tina around the 4th, so three days = three photo shoots for Miss Addy.  Here are a few of the pics from the remaining two photo shoots.

Ha ha, Addy's little corkscrew headband was always falling in her eyes.  And notice that she is reaching for Daisy.  She adores her puppy. :)

A little unsure of the grass

Love that little smile :)

Just hangin' with her pup

A great candid moment

Fighting that nap with all of her might

Love this picture of the woods....with little Addy at the bottom.  Just a baby in a bumbo in the woods.

Couldn't resist a photo shoot in her first PSU tee...and little baby jean shorts!

Whew, so that was the end of photo shoot mania.  Addy was such a trooper, despite the heat and the bugs.  She didn't cry at all!  More pics from our trip to PA in the next post.

A Fancy 4th

When I found out that we were going to be with my sister around the Fourth, I knew I had to take advantage of it and get a cute little 4th of July get-up for Addy.  Because time with Aunt Tina = photo shoot!!!!

I loved the outfit that I got for Addy on Etsy!  (P.S.  These next pics are courtesy of my amazingly talented sis Tina.   It was reeeeally hard to narrow down which ones to put on here.)

Had to get some partially naked baby pics of course.  Love that smile :)

Our old pal Wild Eyes came for a visit

A friend from work gave me a set of bibs for every holiday.  Love it!

Beautiful baby girl

Just a baby in a bumbo on a bridge

This marked the end of the day's photo shoot.

Since there were three photo shoots, I'm going to divide this into more than one blog post.  Too many awesome pics by my sis to put in one post!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

Introducing Me!

Whew, it has been a long time since I blogged!  We were up in PA for about 10 days and the whole trip was a whirlwind.  We were all over the state...I mean ALL over.  When we calculated it out, we drove for a total of about 30 hours in those 10 days!  Yup, baby, dog, and all.

I will be sure to post all about our trip, but for now I leave you with this:

Yesterday morning I looked like this....

And now, I look like this.....

Chopped it off!  It was time for a change and when I brought up my hair cut appointment to my mom she asked if I was going to donate it to Locks of Love again.  (I donated 13 inches about 4 years ago).  I wasn't planning on that drastic of a change, but I got to thinking and decided "What the heck.  Why not?  It's only hair and it'll grow back."

So I took the plunge.  And I love it!  I feel so light and free.  I was so, so, so, so tired of my long hair.  It was always tangled, covered in spit up, and getting pulled by Addy.  Therefore I simply put it in a ponytail.  Every. single. day.  Not to mention that it was falling out at an obscene rate when it was that long.  I mean, I always lose a lot of hair in the shower and when I brush it, but it was getting ridiculous.

So the hair dresser washed my hair, put it in a bunch of little ponytails, and chopped them off.  And here they are....  Longest ponytail was 13 inches and shortest was 9.5 inches.

Yup, those are all of my little ponytails splayed out on the bathroom counter.  I thought it was so funny that I had to get a pic.  Mike was appropriately thoroughly disgusted.  Ha ha!  But let me explain.  The hair had to be completely dry before sending it in to Locks of Love, so I had to lay it there overnight to dry.  Gross I know.  But it's gone now, en route to West Palm Beach, FL.  Hopefully they'll be able to use it for a child in need!

I was reading the LOL website, and approximately 80% of the hair donations are from children for other children.  Maybe one day Addy will donate her hair....if it she ever gets any ;)
