Christmas in NC!

Yay!  We were all looking forward to Tuesday (or "Christmas") for weeks and the day was finally here!  We were so excited for Addy's first Christmas, but I am proud to say that we didn't go too overboard with gifts for her since:

#1 She has a large extended family that will be giving her gifts and
#2 She is too young to really understand anyway.

Sounds a little "Bah Humbug", I know, but let's be real.  She doesn't need anything extravagant to keep her entertained at this age.  We pretty much just did her stocking and wrapped up everything that other people gave her.  Now that being said, we did buy her a few things :)

This was the one "big" thing that I bought for her this year, but I couldn't even wait for Christmas to give it to her, so it was more like a Thanksgiving present :)  She loves it!

"Christmas" morning at our house :)

She loves these rings, but mostly she likes to suck on the little ball that holds them in place.

I bought her this cute little puzzle and she loves to take out the pieces.  She can't quite figure out how to put them back in yet.

We tried desperately to get Addy to help open her gifts.  We would rip the wrapping paper a little bit and hope that she would get in there.  But no such luck.  She just sat patiently and waited for us to open them :)

Our cautious girl was definitely a little bit skeptical at first.

This Dino Ride that Mike is putting together was a gift from one of my friends when Addy was born.  She said to put it away and give it to her for Christmas, which we did.  She is now at the perfect age to use it!

You can stand behind it and push it, or you can close the legs and ride on it.  Pretty cool!

I got an I Pad!!!!!!!!

Mike got a carry on suitcase/backpack that he wanted.
Ha ha!  Mikes gift looks super boring compared to mine.

Here is a little video that we took after we opened gifts:

So there was a little glimpse into our first Christmas as a family of three :)  It was a great day!

Later today we are off to PA for Christmas: Part Two!  We are soooooo excited!

Merry Christmas everyone!

  1. Hahah I love the video, it's so typical for both Mike and Addy - Addy has 2 hands on the wheel, gripping so tightly, letting her toes drag on the floor....and I was wondering if the mess was bothering Mike....until he started cleaning up mid-video:)
